Typography in Web Design

One of the biggest ammature mistakes web designers make is using terrible typography on their websites (I RARELY ever use Arial...). Yes, you are restricted to use web-safe fonts only, but you'd be surprised how many fonts that actually entitles. Go to googlefonts.com.

Size of fonts is another important design detail of websites. You must understand hierarchy in your font sizes.

Lastly, color of font is important too. Lighter font comes across much cleaner than dark. Rarely use black #000000 as your font color.
